If you run a business, of any size, you will be doing marketing, there is no getting away from it....
Successful Facebook Advertising Campaigns
You are ready to create your first Facebook advert, it’s going to be awesome!
But, creative block wraps its hands around you and now you are staring at a blank screen willing it to be a mind-blowing advert.
You need some inspiration, so let’s give you some ideas from adverts that have grabbed big attention:
Ad World Pro
This advert is great because it makes an online course platform look like a festival line-up! It grabs your attention and makes you investigate further. That image paired with the #1 Online Learning Platform for Marketers statement certainly lends itself to a high click-through rate.
Fabletics
Fabletics is a brand most of us (females particularly) will know and have seen already but what stands out about this advert in particular is the use of feedback response. Flared trousers are coming back into fashion and growing in popularity so Fabletics have given the people what they want.
The image isn’t anything spectacular, but pairing it with their fun cheeky language and the fact that this style is what customers have requested makes it quite an appealing offer.
Burger King
The play on words, the Halloween connection, that themed packaging and the colours all lead to a striking well-timed advert. Despite the words that go alongside the image being pretty plain (they could have done so much more here) overall, the advert grabs attention.
Ben and Jerry’s
Ben and Jerry’s has an interesting brand persona, they get involved in a lot of politics and give a voice and sponsorship to different campaigns but at the heart, they are an ice cream company and they express love for what they do.
This clever little video could have been very cheap to put together but highlights several ways to keep your ice cream safe from thriving mouths. They have given the video a funny one-line post to go beside it and a couple of hashtags. They have used trending voice over but the other thing that's important to highlight here is that this doesn’t actually advertise their ice cream. You can clearly see the brand of ice cream but there is no new flavour, offer or even a buy now. More than anything this advert seems to be an entertaining brand awareness campaign.
Now, what should your advert be?
When diving into the world of Facebook advertising, it's crucial to craft attention-grabbing ads that resonate with your audience. Consider using compelling visuals that tell a story about your brand. Keep your ad copy concise and impactful, focusing on your unique value proposition. Experiment with different ad formats, such as carousel ads or video content, to discover what resonates best with your target audience. Don't forget to leverage the power of Facebook's audience-targeting tools to reach the right people, and always test and iterate! Regularly analyse your ad performance and adjust your strategy to ensure ongoing success in the dynamic landscape of Facebook advertising. Hopefully, some of these examples will give you some inspiration to kick-start your campaign.
You can also spend some time on the Facebook Ad Library. This clever tool allows you to see every advert that is on Facebook! Oh yes, have a look at what your competitors are advertising, if they have been running a long time they are probably doing well. Look at your industry leaders, what are they posting, look at brands with similar personas what are their adverts like?
You can do re-targeting adverts allowing you to target visitors to your website and remind them about your company, or that they have something in their basket, or a product they looked at is running low on stock.
Facebook ads manager is constantly changing, updating and adapting so it’s always worth having a refresher course on how to make the most of it. Facebook have their own academy to support businesses but there are a lot of clever people on YouTube who may also give you some handy tips and tricks.
Overall, Facebook Advertising is your oyster, so gather all your inspiration and you’ll end up with a pearl of an advert.
